Installing the server certificate

1. Download the certificate somewhere locally to your disk.
2. Type in "mmc" in the "run" option in the "start" menu to fire up the management console.
3. Choose "file", then "add/remove snap-in", then "certificates", click "add", and select "computer account", then click "finish" (you could also select "my user account", but installing certificate in the local machine store will be useful if you want to configure automatic updates later ).
4. Find "trusted root certification authorities" node, right-click, and from the "all tasks" position select "import".
5. Walk through the wizard to and the "liveobjects.cs.cornell.edu.cer" file you downloaded to install the X.509 certificate you downloaded.
6. Go to the registration page, this time the browser should show the certificate as valid (althrough you might need to restart the browser for these changes to take effect).
