The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the research and development arm of the U.S. Department of Defense, has named Nate Foster, professor of computer science in the Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science, the vice chair of the Information Science & Technology (ISAT) Study Group, beginning in August.

Professor Nate Foster has been appointed the interim associate dean for research for the Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science. Foster will fulfill this role while Professor Thorsten Joachims is on sabbatical for the 2022-2023 academic year.
